Mr. Emery is the visionary founder of Freedom Development Group, which he established in 2023 after an impressive career in real estate development, acquisitions, and construction management. With a wealth of experience spanning over two decades, he brings a robust background in underwriting and acquisitions, coupled with a strong focus on value enhancement and capital improvement strategies.
Before founding Freedom Development Group, Mr. Emery was a key team member at Steadfast Companies, where he joined in 2005. During his tenure, he played a significant role in overseeing and managing the construction division across 21 states, facilitating the successful acquisition and development of numerous master-planned mixed-use projects. His expertise in determining the highest and best use of potential real estate sites has led to the execution of various large-scale community infrastructure projects, multifamily developments, and commercial/retail real estate investments.
At Freedom Development Group, Mr. Emery is dedicated to identifying strategic investment opportunities and forging meaningful partnerships with other developers and investor groups. He oversees all services provided by the company, ensuring a commitment to excellence in every project undertaken.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Emery actively contributes to his community as a member of the Board of Directors for his children’s school, where he helps navigate the evolving landscape of Christian education. He has overseen significant renovations for the school, which serves over 725 students and more than 100 staff members, and currently serves as the Treasurer on the school board.
Mr. Emery is deeply devoted to his family, cherishing his role as a husband to his wife and as a father to their three children. His faith is central to his life, guiding him in both his personal and professional endeavors. In addition to his commitment to family and faith, Mr. Emery is passionate about the outdoors, enjoying activities such as fly fishing, mountain biking, hunting, deep-sea fishing, camping, and running.
